The WHO recommends that suspected cases are screened by nucleic acid amplification tests.

FluoroType® SARS-CoV-2 plus for Detecting SARS-CoV-2

The FluoroType® SARS-CoV-2 plus is a CE-IVD kit, which provides for the detection of two independent SARS-CoV-2 genes while simultaneously differentiating endemic human coronaviruses. The multiplex real-time PCR kit is compatible with a range of common thermocyclers.

For maximum efficiency, ‘results at a glance’ are available when using the kit with the FluoroCycler® XT and integrated software tool. This high-performance PCR system analyses all run components and provides an unambiguous report in less than two hours.

Results at a glance in combination with the FluoroCycler® XT

Using the FluoroCycler® XT high-performance thermocycler, results are provided in an automatically generated report using integrated software and results interpretation. The results can be read and reported ‘at a glance’.

Validated extraction

The FluoroType® SARS-CoV-2 plus kit works with an encapsulated RNA Internal Control, which mimics lysis of viral particles and serves as an extraction, reverse transcription, and amplification control. The kit is validated with the GenoXtract® combined with dedicated extraction kits, to provide high-quality nucleic acids with confidence.
