The FlashSmart™ Analyzer is available in the configurations listed in the table below. The all-in-one FlashSmart™ Analyzer can be easily adapted for the listed configurations at anytime according to the user analytical requirements with no need software and hardware upgrade. Easy maintenance and user friendly.
The Analyzer can be equipped with one or two totally independent furnaces. The double channels can be connected using a single pneumatic circuit. The system allows the installation of two analytical circuits which are used alternatively and completely automated through the Thermo Scientific™ MultiValve Control (MVC) Module for higher sample throughput without manual intervention. The MVC Module also allows to reduce helium consumption by switching from helium to nitrogen or argon gas, when the instrument is in Stand-By Mode. Therefore, the cost of analysis is reduced significantly.
Different autosamplers (for liquid and solid samples) can be accepted on the same analyzer. Coupling capabilities with Flame Photometric Detector (FPD), for trace sulfur analysis, and with Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS).

Principle of Operation
The working principle for either the CHNS or Oxygen elements using Thermo Scientific™ FlashSmart™ Elemental Analyzer will be explained. First, samples are weighed in container (made of Tin), using Thermo Scientific™ MAS Plus Autosampler they introduced into the reactor (combustion/pyrolysis reactor). Then, the produced gases are carried by a helium flow through the catalyst and reduction phase which are contains several types of materials as reactor fillers depend on determination and also optionally swept through the traps. Then, the gases are carried through the GC column, which provides the separation of the combustion gases. Finally, they are detected by a Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD).
