The Luminex® 100/200™ System is a flexible analyzer based on the principles of flow cytometry.
Luminex LX 100 / 200 sets the standard for multiplexing, with over 11,000 units sold globally and more than fifty 510(k)-cleared assays. The ability to perform up to 100 different tests in a single reaction volume and use either magnetic beads or plain polystyrene beads makes this instrument a popular choice for laboratories needing greater flexibility. Luminex 100/200 offers higher sample throughput with a 96-well plate read time of only 45 minutes.
The Luminex 100/200 System is the combination of three core xMAP® Technologies. The first is xMAP microspheres, a family of fluorescently dyed micron-sized polystyrene microspheres that act as both the identifier and the solid surface to build the assay. The second is a flow cytometry-based instrument, the Luminex 100/200 analyzer, which integrates key xMAP detection components, such as lasers, optics, fluidics, and high-speed digital signal processors. The third component is the xPONENT® software, which is designed for protocol-based data acquisition with robust data regression analysis.
|Multiplexing||Up to 100 analytes per sample (80 on MagPlex® microspheres)|
|Dynamic Range (Typical)||≥ 3.5 logs|
|Read Time||96-well plate in ? 45 min (up to 12,800 tests/hour)|
|Daily Start-Up/Shut-Down||≤ 30 min|
For laboratories working under the FDA’s 21 CFR Part 11 regulations, xPONENT® software can complete with several features like multilevel user management, full audit trail, electronic records and electronic signatures. The secure xPONENT package includes all the basic functionality, plus allows an administrator to set up user access levels. LIS Connectivity module allows communication with an external Laboratory Information System (LIS) database by allowing the export of patient result data and the import of patient sample information in ASTM format; connection to your LIS system may require the use of middleware
