GeneCraft Labs, along with United States Pharmacopeial (USP) and Thermo Scientific, held USP User Forum at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday, April 9th 2019. There, Joseph W. Eaton came as a keynote speaker from USP. Lee Soon Fatt (Senior Application manager), Jenny Huang (Senior Product Manager), and June Tham (Sales Manager for Digital Science) also came as speakers from Thermo Scientific. Lee Soon Fatt introduced Modern Liquid Chromatography Techniques and Chromeleon CDS for Pharmaceuticals, Jenny Huang talked about Using HLPC Column Phase Selectivity to Improve Separations, and June Tham brought up a topic about Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Assisting in Data Integrity.
This event was divided into two sessions. In the first session, as a Senior Strategic Customer Development Manager-Asia of USP, Joseph W. Eaton informed the latest update about USP publications and reference standards, and also USP-NF Online Product in detail. In the next session, Lee Soon Fatt explained essential things about using UHPLC and Chromeleon CDS software for pharmaceuticals. After that, Jenny Huang gave comprehensive informations about choosing the right column and described the column variety of Chromatography Column and Consumable (CCS) so that it can maximizes the process of separating and identifying elements and compounds in sample analyzing. Last but not least, June Tham shared the benefits of using LIMS in operating modern laboratory. She said LIMS could be integrated with other systems–including HPLC–which made researchers easier to transcript or manage data so that it could increase efficiency and productivity with better data quality.
USP User Forum is an annual event initiated by GeneCraft Labs to give complete updates about USP products and reference standards, and also other current informations in pharamaceuticals. This event was opened by Director of GeneCraft Labs, Teddy Gunawan Joedistira and attended by more than 100 participants. Some of them were representatives of PT Boehringer Ingelheim Indonesia, PT Dankos Farma, PT Galenium Pharmasia Laboratories, dan PT Kino Indonesia. They also showed great interests during the event, especially at Q&A sessions. For those who have asked, GeneCraft Labs gave some souvenirs as a token of appreciation.
